Super Kitchen’s visual and sonic identity have already left a strong impression in 2019 with acclaimed label debuts from Glasgow’s Lima and Manchester’s Henzo, and they have returned once again to provide more rocket fuel for clubs with their third artist debut of the year. ‘Archive.1’, the latest instalment from the Bristol and London based label, was built by long time affiliate Gregor, and draws from his rich back catalogue of productions.

Starting with the crushing deep-space pressure of ‘Andromeda’, Gregor draws the listener deeper into his dark techno abyss - however, the vicious vacuum of rolling beats peel back to reveal a celestial and harmonious synth that show the track as something more nebulous and ethereal. The phasing hi-hats that signal the start of ‘Venus’ orbit the track as more drum debris collects and adds to its mass, before forming into a powerful cosmic constellation of melody and bass that prove it to be a worthy counterpart to Andromeda’s weight.

The first quarter of 2019 has seen Super Kitchen blasting off to new heights with their music and events, and Gregor’s debut proves that the label is committed to championing high quality club music from new producers.
